And now for the trip pictures!

Georgia was so excited about taking her first airplane ride. We bought her a crown to celebrate.

Columbus to Chicago trip

Chicago to Fairbanks trip. 

We had a long layover in Fairbanks so we got a hotel. This picture was taken at 10pm at night! Crazy! The hotel had black out curtains to help, but we passed out from all the travelling. 

We took this the next morning. 

We don't have to worry about brown bears and grizzly bears. 

These bears are the ones we are scared of seeing, polar bears. 

Yikes!

Flight to Prudhoe Bay

I love the view!

The ground is melting and causing marshes, lakes and ponds to form all over the tundra.

We were on a smaller but not a puddle hopper!

This reminded me of the story "Holes."

There was a bit of fog in Prudhoe Bay.

And we didn't get to land because the fog was too thick. :(  We circled around and headed back to Fairbanks. 

The trip to Fairbanks was pretty, but frustrating because we had to get another hotel and it was a holiday the next day. Rates went up a bit. 

More lakes

I'm not sure if any of these qualify as an oxbow lake. 

This was taken at 2am! We were able to stay in the same hotel and same room. It was only 20 bucks extra due to holiday. 

This is the only picture that I got from our second try to Barrow. Seats were all messed up. The airline didn't put any of us together. And some people refused to move to allow Em and Abi to sit  together. Toby had an extra seat next to him. He traded with the girls. Georgia and I got to sit together because she was little and cute!
