This is the Inupiat Heritage Center. $10 for adults, $5 for kids and 5 yrs and younger are free. More importantly, North Slope residents are free! We have driver's licenses and we plan to go to the museum sometime soon.
Library entrance! Everyone has cards. Kids can't borrow videos. Selection is good in kids and adults. The movie selection is decent too.

The lagoon is freshwater and is separated from the ocean by a road and berm. Storm surges can contaiminate the drinking water source.

Back at the library we debriefed about what we learned. Some teens joined the group. They were responsible for fixing the boardwalk.

And they shake it to seperate the materials into different sizes. There are several levels. The largest particles will be on the top layer and the smallest particles which are fine grains will be on the bottom.
They used the microscopes to get a closer look.
