We don't have any vehicles with us. It costs $5 a ride for a taxi, if you can find them. The bus costs only $2 one way or $4 round trip. And there's always walking if you bundle up. (I think I'm losing weight.)
There's a few cars for sale up here, but most of them have cracked windshields. Police don't stop or ticket them so I guess its okay. I can't imagine how they would get windshield glass up here in one piece.
The AC store offers Hondas (that's 4 wheelers) but they are expensive. The intrest rates are too big for me. There's a shop in town that has a great selection and offers maintenance and repairs. We are going to wait until September to get something. The kids can ride the bus to school. And don't worry about Georgia because someone walks her up to the door. Someone will be home for her.
It's cold but not brutal right now. We are going to keep walking while we can or take the bus. There's a city bus that goes all over town. The bus driver is funny! He told us jokes and all about Barrow when we rode it. His laugh makes you smile and makes you feel at home.
