Things I miss

I can't believe that I have only a quarter and a half until school is finished in Barrow. It has flown by so quickly. Lately, I've been thinking about my old position and my co-workers. I miss them and I miss our out of the blue pranks that helped with morale.
(Do I need to remind you about testing week last year? Me with a ball of yellow yarn, crocheting the whole time...)

Someone at VCS needs to do at least one of these.... just because it has to be done.

View from the dentist chair...

Pictures from the dentist chair and pictures taken from the taxi ride to get there.

I forgot about Friday's pictures!

Friday we had a pep/awards assembly. Emily got an award for her grades. Sorry the picture is far away, I had to sit by the freshman at the end of the gym.

One of my students wrote this on my board before she left for the day. She has been struggling with some things and I've been praying for her. Its difficult to be a teen nowadays. There are so many problems in the world. I feel like kids are rushed to grow up.

View of the sea ice from the Fur Shop! Everything beyond that ice pile on your right is frozen ocean.

Homecoming Dance!

Emily's Grandma Jeni sent her a beautiful dress for homecoming. We added some straps for comfort and a bit more modesty. We wanted to make a jacket or shrug but the fabric shop was out of black satin material. The straps look good on it. I took a few pictures of her.

The dress had pockets!

This is leaving for a Homecoming dance at -29F.

10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

The Drama Club put on a play this past week. Emily and Abi were both in the play and did a fabulous job! I took a few pictures, but mostly videos of it. Emily was a narrator and Abi had a small speaking part. It was a very cute show and it was a great night out.
