Georgia's best friend brought her parka to our house. It is a beautiful parka with white fur. This is what the locals wear to stay warm in the arctic. Its a design that goes way back. Many still make them and wear them. I love the fact that the school district encourages students to learn how to sew traditional items. I look forward to taking my sewing class in the spring. I am going to make one of these for Georgia. The fur comes from animals that they harvest or trap. The fur keeps the cold wind off your face. Cold wind hurts!
Georgia is hiding from the camera!
