The Governor Came to Barrow!

Picture of the walkway around the top of the gym. I think I might have to use this in the evenings. :)

After the speeches and dances there was a community wide meal. Huge chocolate cakes that were delicious. I loved the buttercream icing. 

Each box contained a hamburger, hotdog, turkey or chicken. There was potato salad, rolls and eskimo donuts. The eskimo donuts are like deep fried bread with raisins. Lots of fruit juices and water was available. The football teams volunteered to serve and cook the meals. We were handed extra boxes to take home to enjoy. I love being a new teacher in Barrow. :)
