First Day of School!

We arrived on Sunday evening and had a teacher workday on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. School started on Thursday! Yikes! So much to do and so little time. It was a whirlwind of emotions and I still had to register the kids. Did I forget to mention that Alaska schools require incoming students to have Hep A shots! Good thing I got my insurance card during inservice.

Transportation is very important during the winter months. The buses don't leave until the kid gets inside the building. Little ones have aids that walk them into the building.

Abi is ready for her first day of Middle School. She is excited about the 30 minutes of active reading after lunch.

No bus today. We wanted to make sure that she could go to school due to shot issues. We are up to date with shots but there was some issues with Hep A.

First Grade Baby!

Daddy walked her inside. She was not allowed to stay because of shot records. She started on the second day. I recommend having all shot records and school records sent as soon as you decide to accept employment with the district. It will save you from many headaches and meltdowns.
