First Week!

Its the first week of school. I love my coworkers and the kids. Everyone's personalities work together so well. I've watched Emily come out of her shell again. Living up north, she had to deal with a lot cliques. I think she found a great group of girls in Girl Scouts up there, but she missed having lots of friends at school. Here, she is smiling and giggling in the hallways. She has already been encouraged to play volleyball and basketball.

Abi is the same. She is on the middle school basketball team. I've observed her eating lunch with the 8th and 7th grade. There aren't many kids in those grades, but they all stick together and include others. She misses her friend Jennifer, but they keep in touch using Instagram.

Georgia loves this place. Open gym. Open library. Open pool. She does it all here. Next week the Boys and Girls Club opens. She has a bike now. She quickly learned to ride without training wheels. She has lots of friends here and has been to some birthday parties.

This environment is mentally healthier for our family. We go outside and just can't believe that we are here. This place is amazing.
