I did not think about buying stockings before we came to Barrow for Christmas. The AC store was selling them, but they were expensive. We decided to save some money and make our own stockings this year using sweaters that were too small for the girls.
We turned the sweater inside-out. Then I used a sharpie marker to draw the shape that I needed. Lastly, I cut it out.
The girls used the one I cut out as a pattern for their stockings.
The last step was the sew the two pieces together with the insides facing outward. Then we put the right sides out and hung them by our tree!
This has been a great Christmas because we made so many things together as a family. There's the stockings! Georgia has been adding decorations to the tree on a daily basis.
